Meet Dr. Shahira McElhanon

Dr. Shahira McElhanon graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic of Los Angeles in 2002. She was born in Hollywood, Ca. and grew up Los Angeles. She and her family have lived  in a Camarillo for almost 20 years.   While attaining her undergraduate work in Biology, she has been heavily involved in the fitness industry for over 30 years.  Dr. McElhanon has several certifications since 1991 in group classes, Spinning and Barre, and continues to teach several days a week.    She has 3 children with her husband Dr. Billy Long- McElhanon.  Together they met and graduated as Chiropractors.  They soon married and practiced in Orange County for a few years before moving to Ventura County in 2005.  They opened the Calabasas office in February of 2005 and then the Camarillo office in 2013.  Dr. McElhanon believes in a full comprehensive treatment encompassing many of today's new and current techniques.  Graston Technique is her specialty, and is fully certified.  This involves a very thorough Myofascial release to ease pain & enhance performance decreasing adhesions, scar tissue and spasm.  PiezoWave Shockwave is our newest modality.
